Jennifer Hudson’s Grammy Look

One of my favorite moments from Sunday’s Grammy Awards was seeing the triumphant return of Jennifer Hudson.  There is nothing more beautiful than seeing someone gracefully come back from personal tragedy, and Miss Hudson exemplified that.  Not only was she astounding in her performance, but she looked elegant and stunning.
She definitely gained a fan.

To get her look, first I would suggest starting with a flawless look for the skin.

Cargo makes a fantastic powder that was originally created for high definition television.  The powder has photo chromatic pigments and optical diffusers.  What this means is that the powder helps to diffuse fine lines, discoloration, and essentially makes you skin look flawless in any light!! I use this powder on every shoot I work on, and use it on myself every day.  Run, run, run to get this product and incorporate it into your routine.  It is the perfect touch up powder.

For the rest of her look, I am in love with LORAC Close Up Set: This set includes a great neutral shimmer eye set, black liquid liner, rose blush, and peachy plumping lip gloss.  Seriously, this set is an amazing deal at $39, and you can achieve her entire look with this set.

  • I would suggest using the quad shadows as a base, with the soft peach all over the lid, and the bronze in the crease. Line the eyes with the black liquid liner.

Hopefully, just like Jennifer, you can rise above anything your going through.  I will leave you today with one of my favorite quotes.

There’s no life without humour. It can make the wonderful moments of life truly glorious, and it can make tragic moments bearable.
