But, I can say that I adore Katherine Heigl's new cover look for Instyle magazine. She is one of the rare actresses who doesn't apologize for her beauty, intelligence, or curves. Some magazines have said she is too opinionated, but I absolutely applaud her honesty and frank comments about the Hollywood game.
Her cover look is uncomplicated, bronzy, and all about the glossy lips. It's extremely easy to achieve and a great evening look for summer.
GET THE LOOK:
*The Black Honey Glow set by Clinique is based on their famous Black Honey lipstick. The lipstick is a sheer deep plum, and is a buildable formula that can go from a sheer wash of color to a deep, rich cream lipstick. This color is a great foundation for Katherine Heigls lip look, and will give the brighter lip gloss a deep base. The kit also includes a delicate, shimmery bronze blush (with beautiful plum undertones) and a deep black mascara. Use the bronzer in lieu of blush to replicate her look.
*The finishing touch to complete the look is a bright, sheer, reflective lipgloss. I would choose a Rasberry based shimmer such as MAC Dazzleglass
Makeup Artist Tip: All of these products can be used separately to create individual looks. Use the bronzer with the MAC gloss for a shiny, sheer daytime look. Or, try a few rich coats of the Black Honey lipstick, with the bronzer used as an eyeshadow for an elegant nighttime look.
