Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal

TR Conditioner  I have a confession to make…. I am no longer a redhead.  Although I am proud of my natural strawberry locks, I desperately needed a change.   There was a time in my life when I was every different hair color in the book. My hair has been platinum, brunette, black, burgundy, and of course, every shade of red possible.  I used to love changing my look, and did so whenever I felt a stirring in my soul.  New life, new hair.

Well, my life has been changing quite a bit lately, and I felt the need to go back to my peacock ways.  So, I went blonde.  Maybe it's because I am older, but the new color was quite a shock to the system.  It's put a swagger back into my step that I needed. Let's hope that the old saying "blondes have more fun" is true!

It should be no surprise that this transformation took its toll on my hair.  The bleaching and lifting process made my ends excessively dry.  I knew I had to immediately switch up my shampoo and conditioner, and then I remembered that the most fabulous blonde of all, Gwen Stefani, uses Pantene Pro-V Restoratives Time Renewal.  If her bleached out hair can look that soft and glorious, then this stuff must work.  She has said that her hairstylist Danilo, who is Pantene's celebrity stylist, suggested this product for her overly processed hair.  What's good enough for Gwen should be good enough for me.

I have been using this ever since I did the big dye job, and I have been delighted with the results.  My ends are slowly starting to smooth out, and no longer resemble a frayed mess.  The smell is clean, and not overtly fragrant.

The product promises to:

  • Restore up to 2 years of damage by repairing its sheen and silky feel
  • Target the problem zone, mimicking the smoothness of the outer layer of healthy hair

  1. OMG, I have been using (and loooving) the Breakage Defense conditioner, which is also from the Restoratives line! I loved it so much I reviewed it and raved and raved about it. Seriously, I have *never* been a Pantene person (I tried their products years ago and they just never worked for me). But I had a good coupon so I picked this up (it smells like plum candy!) and I was SHOCKED at how soft, yet full and shiny it leaves my oily roots/dry ends/color-treated hair. It’s *amazing* and it’s now my go-to conditioner that I use whenever I *need* to have a good hair day. Thanks for this review–I am SO glad to know I’m not alone in my Pantene Restoratives love (and I agree–if it’s good enough for Gwen, it’s good enough for me!). xo

  2. This is great to know!! I was looking into the Breakage defense, and now I will have to grab some up and switch them up! :) xoxo

  3. I absolutely like this shampoo. I have been using it for months now, along with the time renewal conditioner, and I find that it has made my hair shinier, healthier, and stronger. I was hesitant before I used this shampoo, with the description on the bottle it seemed too good to be true. After using it for the first time, I really did not notice a difference in my hair. After using it for a few weeks, the quality of my hair seemed to improve more and more. I completely in favour of this product, So I can say it is worth to buy this one.

  4. Thanks for all the great comments. I am just loving this shampoo! :)
