When I think of a shea butter cream, I immediately think of a rich, thick, emollient balm. I have always adored Shea Butter for these vary factors, but tend to stay away from it because a rich cream can take forever to sink into the skin. Nothing bothers me more than the feeling of sticky skin (I don’t care how much its moisturizing me!).
I doubted my next find would be any different, but I was very wrong. Carol’s Daughter Almond Cookie Shea Souffle is emollient, yet sinks into the skin immediately. I was astounded. It smooths on like butter, and I adore it. It is the one cream that I can slather on and not worry about feeling coated in Crisco. It has a light, refreshing feel on the skin, yet the ingredients pack a powerhouse punch. And, it smells absolutely delicious. Actually, it makes me hungry every time I use it (I wish I could blame this cream for my thighs! *sigh*). The say the scent " captures the sweet essence of almonds blended with marzipan and enticing, warm accords of sandalwood and mists of musk." Personally, I just think it smells like my mothers kitchen.
