An Interview with Swide.com Magazine

I am still shocked when this blog is talked about in the media.  There is apart of me that still believes that I am simply talking with friends, and spreading the word on my newest beauty treasures.  These past few weeks have been filled with work, and have left me little time to devote to my "beauty journal on the web".   Last night, after a tremendously long 14 hour day of work, I was overwhelmed to discover an interview I had done back in February for Dolce and Gabbana online magazine Swide.com.  It reminded me of why I adore this blog, and my work. 

I am sharing this interview with you, and I hope it provides some tips, tricks, and an inside look into my world.  Thank you again to Delphine Hervieu for a wonderful article, and for reminding me that the lack of sleep and hard work is all worth it!

Cargo WaterResistant Bronzer

This summer I have decided to say goodbye to my Scottish paleness.  My new blonde locks demand so.  No worries, I have not jumped off the deep end and gone into full beach bunny mode.  But, I have accepted the fact that a little golden color to my skin does in fact make me look better, look healthier, and dare I say skinnier?!

Philosophy Classic Fudge Cake 3 in 1 Shower Gel

I bought this product based on the above description; can you blame me!?  Not only am I a chocaholic, but I am a long time fan of Philosophy and their company.  Their products are outstanding, and I am a sucker for the packaging and sayings on every bottle.  If you are my friend, it is most likely you have been gifted something from Philosophy by me.   

So, I was thrilled to bits to discover a new addition to my product collection with their Classic Fudge Cake 3 in 1 Shower Gel.  Originally I purchased this to use as a shower gel, but just the other day I found out an amazing alternative use!  While in the shower, I realized I ran out of my shaving cream (the horror), and decided to use this gel as a back up.  Oh.

Neutrogena Body Oil

Now that I am starting to swelter in the summer heat, my normal body lotions are being stored away until winter.  The last thing I want is to feel suffocated due to thick body lotions that refuse to quickly absorb. Gross, gross, gross!

During the hotter months of the year, I switch over to either a moisturizing body spray or light body oil.  I know the thought of using an oil sounds counterproductive and ludicrous, but most formulations are quite light and absorb immediately . 

My favorite and old faithful standby is Neutrogena Body Oil.  I have been using this amazing product since high school, and have never wavered in my devotion to it.  This miraculous oil has been a favorite of beauty editors, and dermatologists for years.  It's simple formulation absorbs into the skin instantly.  Instantly!  It is light, leaves a gorgeous glow on the skin and imparts a delicate sesame scent.

Rosebud Salve

I adore this product.  Actually, I constantly hanker for this product and it's multi-tasking genius.  It's cute, kitschy, and has a long standing reputation as one of the best lipbalms in the industry. 

As it should!  Rosebud Perfume Co. and it's famous salves have been around 1895.  

 My favorite is the original Rosebud Salve in a tin. The balm leaves a stunning tint that looks beautiful with a nude lipliner, and is perfect for summer.  The other amazing thing about this little can of goodness is that it is a muti-tasking master.  I have one girlfriend that uses it solely on her cuticles, and another who swears it heals scars.  And did I mention the tin?  The packaging is irresistible, collectible, and begs to be seen on your vanity.
