A few months ago, I was able to experience the reopening of the all-in-one spa and salon in west L.A., Alexander’s for Hair.   I have been to my fair share of spas, and have jumped from one salon to the next, but I must say that this family owned business impressed me it’s simplicity and attention to its customer needs.  While most spa business and salon services have taken a nose dive in the economy, Alexander’s for Hair answered the need for quality, high end customer care with reasonable prices.  Which in my book equals repeat service.

Alexander’s for Hair recent makeover was made to suit its expanding clientele base,  and now offers more services geared for both men and women.  The salon carries eco-friendly hair products by Eufora and the renowned GRAM skincare by Dr. Bernard Gramlich (review on his line to come….but FYI, I am a big fan!).   New owner Krissy Smith and her mom Jeanne Phares, helped to create an atmosphere that will suit both the males and females, with clean, modern décor, flat screen TV’s and an elegant space that is neither too frilly or manly.  This co-ed heaven will make it easy to drag your man along with you for a day of pampering.  My favorite perk of this salon is Spa Saturdays, where you can receive a Blowdry, 50 minute massage or custom facial and a manicure…all for $95.  And if your man wants in on the action, he can receive a haircut or hot shave, 50 minute massage and manicure for $95 as well.  Yes, ladies and gents, you heard me right!   And if you ask me, Barbara is one of the best massage therapists in LA (and I am tough critic!).
