This week has tremendous meaning for me. This week honors the beautiful organization Look Good Feel Better. Their motto “Hope is Beautiful” stands for everything I believe in. When cancer takes over, sometimes the simplest act of a beauty routine can change the way you feel inside. Being able to see yourself looking healhty, looking normal, can be a tremendous courage booster.
Look Good…Feel Better is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, national public service program created to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem, and manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence. They hold seminars that help patients learn how to deal with hair loss, skin care changes, and how to apply makeup that will withstand the harshness of their treatments. Their website provides how to videos, makeup and skincare guides, and encouragement from fellow cancer patients. It is a profoundly important organziation.
We all have loved ones who are facing or have faced cancer, or other illness, and this is a great program that helps women regain their glow and change their emotional approach to the illness they are experiencing. Please help me in spreading the word this week, and supporting the hope and courage in the phenominal women who are fighting cancer with grace, dignity, and beauty.
