When I arrived home from my vacation in early July, I was happy to find this product waiting on my doorstep. The website states that the cream not only hydrates, but uses vitamins, antioxidants, and natural fruit extracts to aid in the reduction of sun spots, blemishes, and discoloration to promote truly luminous skin. As usual I was skeptical, but when it comes to beauty products I am always hoping to be proven wrong; this product did just that!
To begin, let me say that I do not use the product religiously on my face. While I do admit to a couple of mild sunspots that require attention, the majority of my spotted flaws lie in the freckles I’ve had since basically birth that I doubt any concoction could erase. However, my legs are a different story. You see, I have horrible sunspots that have come to surface on my legs over the past 6-12 months. I never saw these spots when I went to the tanning salon; however, about three months after I switched from the tanning bed to spray/self tanner, these brownish/orange ugly spots appeared in clusters on my legs and I have been plagued with them ever since.
I have tried everything to lighten these spots; scrubs, cleansers, lemon juice, peroxide, all to no avail. Around spring of this year I began to consider tossing all of my shorts and dresses in the trash and becoming one of those women who never show their legs in public. Thankfully with the use of City Cosmetic’s Radiance Perfecting Cream, I think it is my insecurities that I can toss instead.
Here’s the lowdown:
I have been using the product on my spots 1-2 times a day for about three weeks now. Each morning and/or evening, I either dot the cream directly on the spots or use a light layer to cover the entire bottom portion of my legs, and it has worked like magic! While the spots are not completely gone, they have lightened dramatically, and a few of the smaller ones seem to have disappeared altogether. I have also noticed that the spots (which used to have the texture of a crocodile) have softened, and I can no longer feel them when running my fingertips down my legs.
Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about using the cream out of fear that it would either lighten my spray tan or leave me with white dots in place of the brown ones; however, I was instead left with more beautiful skin. Don’t believe me? Check out my before and after photos taken just three weeks apart. If the product can work this well in only a few weeks, I can only imagine how great my legs will look in the months to come.
So bottom line, I would definitely recommend this cream to anyone looking to lighten sunspots on their skin. It’s a bit pricey ($72/bottle) but a little goes a very long way and the results make it worth every penny. They say that seeing is believing and believe me, you’ll be seeing me purchase this cream for a long time to come.
