Don't Melt Away
If you've ever watched a sappy movie or TV show, you'd think we're living in the 50s. Makeup has evolved! I never go out of the house or watch a sad movie with my guy unless I have waterproof mascara on. While dramatic, having your makeup stream down your face isn't attractive. Frankly, I find it scarier than the bad guys in horror movies.
While mascara may be the most popular waterproof cosmetic, it definitely isn't the only variety. All the basics are available in waterproof varieties. I know, I was surprised too. If you have plans to be out during the summer, spend time in the water or play sports, don't even consider any makeup other than waterproof. For big events, such as your wedding day, go waterproof all the way as you'll need far fewer touch ups.
For the most part, waterproof makeup goes on the same as other makeup. However, if you're using waterproof airbrush foundation, most experts recommend applying waterproof concealer to your main trouble areas first. The foundation then sets the concealer in place much like pressed powder. Always use a sponge or brush to avoid any oils from your fingers from ruining your waterproof masterpiece.
If for any reason, you can't find waterproof eyeshadow, avoid cream based shadows at all costs. Powders stay on longer and won't simply melt away. Use a primer on your lids, apply the powder and your shadow should be fine unless you'll be in water.
Whatever you do, don't just “hope for the best” when it comes to liner and mascara. Waterproof varieties are actually fairly cheap and won't smear or fade all day long. I've been out for over 12 hours in the middle of a steamy July day and my eyes still looked as great as they did that morning.
Bronzer is an amazing tool for shaping not just your face, but your body. I couldn't believe my eyes when my friend walked on to the beach and suddenly had larger breasts and stunning abs. While I admit, she already had an amazing body, the addition of a little waterproof bronzer helped her get more defined abs and a boost to her cleavage. I personally adore these Waterproof Bronzers
Okay, so you're probably wondering where I'm going with this. I know far too many people who cover up their legs while swimming or playing outdoor sports, even when the heat is unbearable, simply because of spider veins or other imperfections. While many don't even think twice about wearing makeup on their legs, many companies are now making waterproof leg makeup which is easy to apply and will give you confidence as you walk along the beach. I suggest Prtty Peaushun
The moral of the story here is to ensure you have a complete waterproof makeup kit. I say let humidity, heat and sweat do its worst. You'll look great regardless.
