Get The Look: Megan Fox

BEAUTY INSPIRATION:
"I wanted to add a pop of color to her eyes to compliment the neutral tones of her outfit. We went with a smokier eye but kept it on the softer side by using plums instead of the traditional black."

GET THE LOOK:

Face:

Eyes:

  • As her brows are part of her trademark look, I accentuated her natural arch and filled in sparse areas using Anastasia Brow Wiz in Brunette.
  • Being that it was such humid day, I used a bit of Anastasia Dip Brow in Dark Brown to ensure that they stayed put.
  • I started the eyes by smudging Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Amethyst Aphrodisiac along the lash line and blended it upwards and outwards to elongate the eye.
  • Using the same purple eyeliner, I smudged it into the lower lash line and blended it out.
  • I intensified the lashes by smudging Urban Decay 24 Hour Black Liner into the upper lash line.
  • Blending the liners out was key so that the overall look was smokey but still soft. Then I lightly dusted the top right color from the Tom Ford Seductive Rose Eye Color Quad all over the eyes and brightened the eye by highlighting the inner corner with Shiseido Shimmer Cream Eye Color OR313.
  • To further accentuate the lashes, I gave them a light curl and added two Kiss Trio Short Lashes to each eye. These lashes are great because they give the look of individual lashes but it is done three times faster.
  • Lastly, I finished off the eye makeup with Diorshow Mascara in Black on the top and bottom lashes.

Lips: As the focus of the makeup was on the eyes, I went for a neutral rose tone, Tom Ford Lipstick in Spanish Pink, to accentuate her natural lip color and to compliment the purple smokey eyes."

Get the Look: Judy Greer at the “Married” Premiere

Share on Twitter4 Share on Facebook5 Share on Pinterest0 Share on Google +11

judy greer photo

It's the middle of the summer so what better way to keep your summer look than to keep your makeup and hair light and fresh! Using inspiration from Judy's Jimmy Choo tomato red clutch, makeup artist Tamah uses a red lip to add to the pop of red. To balance the pop of color with the rest of the look, Tamah gave Judy a 'summer smokey eye' which gives the eyes definition while veering away from using the typical dark colors normally associated with the traditional smokey eye. With beautiful braided hair by hairstylist, Gregory Russell completing the look, Judy has given the summer look not only a new definition, but a perfect look for everyone to wear in just a few steps! Read below for the step by step to get Judy's look:

Hair Preparation. Start by dampening hair and blowing it out with an Ibiza round brush and applying Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel to the ends of your hair.

The Braid. Next, part your hair down the center and pin up the crown section to braid last. French braid each side back and fasten the end of the braid with a clear elastic and braid the crown section (just a regular braid, not a French braid). Following the braid, pull out a few pieces around the face and loosen each of the braids and roughen them up a bit.

The Finishing Touch. After spraying more Kevin Murphy Resort Spray,  pin the side braids into two low buns and connect them with the crown braid. To complete the look, finish with Kerastase Laque Couture.

Eyes. Apply a thin layer of Benefit Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow in Flatter Me with a fluffy brush to keep it sheer. Next, use a touch of the top and bottom left shadows from the Dior 030 Incognito Eyeshadow Quad. Use the bottom right as a liner under the lower lash line. Apply Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in black directly to the upper lash line, and top it with Lancôme Hypnose Star Mascara in Black.

Cheeks. Use a touch of Make Up For Ever 033 Dark Antique Pink as a base, and top with Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Medium 2. Apply the bronzer with a medium sized fluffy brush (preferably one that is angled for bronzer).  Apply this to the cheeks and sweep it over the bridge of the nose, where the sun would naturally bronze.

Skin. Apply Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Foundation in 113 as foundation and concealer and use Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set.

Lips. Use NYX Butter Lipstick in JuJu Amulette and MAC lip liner in Redd to set the lip line.

Get the Look

Getting tired of neutral makeup and looking to shake things up with an edgy and vibrant look? Inspired by the 1960s, makeup artist Jamie Greenberg worked with Kaley Cuoco for the Vera Wang store opening on Rodeo Drive to create a bold look. With blue eye makeup, dotted eyeliner, and rich black mascara, this look is one for the books.

Greenberg starts by lining mark’s No Place To Run Waterproof Eyeliner in Navy Seal along the top lash line and applying three dots along the lower lash line. On top, Greenberg layers mark’s On The Dot Eye Color Compact in Bold (middle blue shade) for a bolder finish. The eyes are completed by filling in the brows with Anastasia Brow Pro Palette and finishing with two coats of Jouer's Everyday Effortless Mascara in Noir.

To add an utterly flawless appearance, Greenberg applies Tom Ford Traceless Foundation all over the face and swirls together mark’s Island Beauty Face Compact on the cheeks for a coral, bronzy glow. To complete Kaley Cuoco's look, mark's All Butter Now Lip Treat in Bare All is used to even the look without taking away from the bold eye makeup.

Get the Look: Shailene Woodley’s Flawless Look From The Fault In Our Stars Premiere

Share on Twitter4 Share on Facebook1 Share on Pinterest0 Share on Google +11

getthelookshailenewoodley

One of the most talked about love stories to hit theaters this year, The Fault In Our Stars, features one of the most talked about young starlets, 22 year-old Shailene Woodley. Last night she continued to shine in the spotlight at the NYC premiere in a canary yellow Ralph Lauren dress. Shailene’s go-to makeup artist, Roxy, kept in tone with the fresh, simple, classic style of her dress and kept in tone with Shailene’s love for organic products. Read on for details on the complete look and how she used the Physicians Formula Organic Wear Collection to get it.

INSPIRATION. "The simplicity of Shailene's gorgeous yellow dress really inspired me to create a makeup look on her that fit the same vibe: fresh, simple and classic. Keeping Shailene's skin dewy with a strong plum lip felt like the perfect accessory to her beautiful dress. What I love about her look is that through the simplicity of it all, it made a stunningly loud statement and those are always my favorite kind of looks to create. Less is truly always more," said Roxy, the makeup artist who created look.

Get the look with Roxy’s step-by-step:

Step 1: SKINCARE
The first step to this look was spraying Caudalie's Beauty Elixir Spray all over her face, neck and décolletage to revive, soothe and hydrate her skin. Next I applied 100% Pure Luminous Primer Vitamins & Reservatol to help me to get it all over her face evenly and fast. For her base, I applied Physicians Formula Organic Wear® CC Cream in Light/ Medium all over her face with my Chanel Foundation Brush #6. I started at the center of her face and blended out to her jaw line until it was seamless. This CC cream does a fantastic job at giving great coverage but keeping the complexion looking natural and fresh.

Step 2: POWDER
To keep her look a bit more sophisticated, I applied Koh Gen Go's Manfanshi Pressed Powder to give me the control I need in tight areas such as under eyes, around her nose and mouth.

Step 3: BRONZER
To bring out her earthy glow while giving some subtle definition to her cheek bones, I brushed on some Physicians Formula Gentle Wear 100% Natural Origin Bronzer with my Makeup Forever Double Sculpting brush under her cheek bones and over her temples.

Step 4: HIGHLIGHTER
Since glowing skin was a major part in her makeup look for the night, I applied Josie Maran's Argan Illuminzier down the bridge of her nose, around the outer corners and above her brows in a C shape manner.

Step 5: EYESHADOW PRIMER & EYELINER
Moving on to the eyes I started by applying Tarte's Clean-slate 360 creaseless 12-hour eyeshadow primer. For this look it was important for me to bring out her big beautiful eyes but with very minimal makeup. I skipped eyeshadow and went straight for Tarte's Skinny Smolder Eyes eyeliner in Golden Tiger Eye. I drew a thin tight line across her top lash line as well as the bottom corners then smudged it out softly using the sponge tip.

Step 6: MASCARA
Shailene loves to apply her own mascara and swiped on two coats of Physicians Formula Organic Wear® 100% Natural Origin CC Curl + Care Mascara. The mascara really brought everything on her eyes to life by curling, lengthening and defining her gorgeous lashes.

Step 7: BROWS
On her eyebrows I always keep them true to their color and shape by only brushing them with my Jane Iredale Delux Spoolie brush. We like the inner corners of her brows to be feathery and especially for this look so using that brush helped me gain that effect.

Step 8: LIPS
On her lips she applied Tarte's Glamazon 12-hour Lipstick in playful to her lips with her finger. We didn't want the lip color to look perfect in application but instead more lived-in and natural. It was the finishing touch to her sweet and stunning look.

Get the Look: Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis

Share on Twitter4 Share on Facebook1 Share on Pinterest0 Share on Google +11

Screen Shot 2014-06-05 at 7.14.37 PM

Celebrity chef and Clairol Natural Instincts spokesperson Giada De Laurentiis celebrated the opening of her first restaurant “Giada” in Las Vegas earlier this week with her nearest and dearest. For the big night, Giada’s look was inspired by the art and colors threaded throughout her restaurant, designed to feel like you’re dining in Giada’s home.

Julie Morgan, celebrity makeup artist and longtime friend of Giada De Laurentiis, got her hair and makeup ready for the event. Here’s how:

Giada’s hair was freshly colored with Clairol Natural Instincts Amber Shimmer (a shade change for Giada) which gave her hair a gorgeous light golden-brown hue. For the evening, she opted for loose voluminous waves to complement her Italian and Californian roots. To achieve this look, follow the steps below:

1. Shampoo hair 24-48 hours after coloring hair for best results
2. Blow-dry hair and apply texturizing spray to roots for added volume
3. Take 1 inch barrel curling iron and twist sections of hair while leaving the ends of the hair out
4. Apply shine spray
5. Turn head over and move fingers through hair and spray a medium hold hairspray all-over to hold the curls in place, like Herbal Essences Naked Flexible Hold Spritzer

To complement Giada’s soft locks, Julie went with stone and jewel-tone Smoky Eye Liner by Trish McEvoy. Giada’s overall skin, cheeks and lips were done in a rose gold hue (Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation, Jouer Rose Blush with Sunshine Bronzer and Rose Lip Pencil with Peach Pearl Lip Enhancer). Her look was finished with COVERGIRL mascara.

Giada’s wardrobe was styled by Stylist Sam Saboura -- dress is by Cushnie et Ochs and shoes by Givenchy.

Get the Look: Katy Perry June 2014 V Magazine Cover

Share on Twitter1 Share on Facebook1 Share on Pinterest0 Share on Google +11

Makeup artist, Sammy Mourabit, got inspiration for Katy Perry’s V Magazine cover from the iconic Betty Page, "I wanted to pay homage to her bombshell beauty look, giving Katy that va va voom factor!" Read below to reveal the beauty tips Sammy used to create the look!

Face:
"I started with the face using my finger tip to spot touch COVERGIRL’s Ready, Set, Gorgeous Foundation in Buff Beige #205 all over Katy’s t-zone area. The velour composition effect of the new COVERGIRL RSG Foundation allowed me to create a creamy texture on her gorgeous skin. I then used a tiny bit of the Ready, Set, Gorgeous Concealer on my finger tip and gently dabbed under Katy’s eyes, and on the outer corners, as well as little around the nose.

I then finished the face, by sculpting Katy’s cheek bones with the truMAGIC Sunkisser and Luminizer as well as a hint of Bombshell ShineShadow in Gold Goddess, creating a gentle dewy effect."

Eyes:
"For Katy’s eyes I first focused on the brows. I used COVERGIRL’s Brow and Eyemaker Pencil in Midnight Black and Brown to shape her eyebrows, creating a dramatic effect that was very important to this specific look.

I then mixed Bombshell ShineShadows in Ooh La Lilac and Copper Fling. Their rich pigment and creamy, slightly metallic texture are amazing to create an eye liner fading effect, resulting in a sexy eye look that reflects light perfectly.

I then applied the Flamed Out Shadow Pencil in Crystal Flame to brighten up the inside corner of the eyes for Mademoiselle Perry.

I finished the eye look by applying Bombshell Mascara in Very Black - no false lashes needed with this mascara! Using step 1, I applied a light coat of mascara, separating the lashes. I then used step 2 in the outer upper corners for a more dramatic and intense effect."

Lips:
"Finally it was time for the lips. I mixed two COVERGIRL Lip Liners together, Sublime #200 and Passion #215, creating a beautiful red and prune pigment, allowing me to contour her sexy lip look. I then used a little bit of LipPerfection in Hot #305 to create a deep red finish."
