1)Kiehls Musk Oil: Everytime I wear this oil, I am stopped and asked what I am scent I have on. Special musk ‘recipe’ begins with an initial creamy, fresh citrus burst of bergamot nectar and orange blossom, followed by a soft floral bouquet of rose, lily, ylang-ylang and neroli. Finally, Original Musk dries down to a warm, sensual oriental finish of tonka nut, white patchouli and, of course, musk. Perfection!
2)Acqua di Parma ‘Colonia Essenza’ Eau de Cologne: This is soft and elegant, and makes me feel incredibly sexy. A citrus-woodsy fragrance, with notes of citrus zests, rosemary, jasmine, lily of the valley, rose, clove, patchouli, woody notes, moss, amber.
3)Donna Karan ‘Woman’ Eau de Parfum: notes of orange flower and a signature core of Haitian vetiver and sandalwood make this the ultimate sexy scent. A feminine and sensual scent that is perfect for an evening out on the town.
4)Trish McEvoy ‘No. 9 Blackberry & Vanilla Musk’ Eau de Parfum: Irresistible. One of my personal all time favorites. I am convinced that this is a man magnet! A spicy-sweet, warm, playful scent that combines juicy blackberry buds, rich vanilla and sensuous velvet musk with white rose and cashmere woods.
5)Tom Ford Private Blend ‘Oud Wood’ Eau de Parfum: This defines luxury to me. It is uber sexy, and exotic. Notes include rose wood and cardamom, blended with exuberant Chinese pepper, which create a warm scent. Other notes include rare oud wood, sandalwood, vetiver, and the creamy scents of tonka bean, vanilla and amber are revealed.
The way we feel beautiful is different for every woman, and especially different at certain points in our lives. Personally, I have found that the definition of what I consider beautiful in myself has changed tremendously over the years. In my twenties, I felt beautiful if I had my acne under control, was rocking a smokey eye and was at the perfect weight. Truly fluffy stuff. Now, in my thirties, I find that I feel prettiest when I am as closet to natural as possible, have taken care of my skin, and laughing over wine and food with my friends (diets went out the window years ago).
Just as our ideas of beauty changes as we get older, so do our beauty needs. Below is a list of essentials for every age in our lives. Change is necessary, so why not embrace all the different transformations we have throughout our years. Each new era that you get to rediscover yourself is extraordinary.
20’s: This is the time when you can experiment with your makeup routine and hone in on your skincare needs. During our twenties, we need to keep our skin hydrated, and watch for breakouts due to hormonal fluctuations.
Since we’re two weeks out from Christmas, I will be dedicating this week to all things Holiday Gifts Packages. Actually, regardless of Christmas, now is a great time to stock up on all your favorites. Personally, I use this time to stock my makeup kit, and get great deals on some of my everyday essentials.
My first gift guide goes to Kiehls. I have always been a fan of this classic brand, and count Creme de Corps and Musk perfume on my everyday essentials list. Between their recent charitable Limited Edition Creme de Corps collaboration with Kenny Scharf, and their assortment of Kiehl’s gift boxes, there’s something available at every price point, and for every man, woman and child on your gift list.
