MyFaceChart by GreeneStreet Beauty

Nothing makes me happier than when my colleagues and friends create something amazing and new in our industry. I get excited and like a proud mamma bear. Today’s blog post is one of my favorites because I get to introduce a fantastic new app created by two of the most talented and hardest working women in the makeup industry.

Kim Greene and Melissa Street have been makeup artists in the film and television industry for over 20 years, and created the innovative beauty app MyFaceChart.  This app not only allows you to customize the face chart to match your clients specific face shape, eye, mouth and nose shape, but also gives you amazing Pro Tips based on the needs of your face chart.  Learn how to properly contour a square face or deep set eyes! You can also add the picture of your client, or the inspiration that you want to the makeup to emulate. I was absolutely astounded by all of the different looks I could create, and the ease of continuity.

So, of course I grabbed Melissa and asked her to share some of her secrets with me:

Best tips for busy women: A 3 minute makeup – concealer, powder, liner (smudge into lash line – top), curl lashes, one coat of mascara, use a lip/cheek tint on both cheeks and lips.

What are three of your must have products: 1) Mascara 2)Lip Gloss 3)concealer

Your Holy Grail Product: Jan Marini Transformation Cream

Biggest Makeup/Beauty mistake: Not removing your makeup at night! It is a must! Don’t care how tired you are!

Best piece of advice your mother gave you about beauty: take care of your skin always – pamper it, hydrate it, love it!

Beauty tips for mature skin: slather on the moisturizer all year long (at night) and bring it all the way down your neck to the chest – rub left over moisturizer onto the backs of your hands!

If you are interested in trying out the app, and sharing your makeup artistry skills, than you must enter the Halloween Chart Art Contest!

Corrective makeup – The Hooded Eye by Kim Greene:

“I happen to have hooded eyes. I used to be ok with them but as I’ve gotten older they really make me look tired. And you should see them after a 15 hour day! My eyes look closed, even when they’re not. Ok, I’m being dramatic but bottom line is I’m very familiar with this specific corrective makeup.
